This unique session offers an opportunity to examine the Y(ou) in LYFE by participating with a community of learners in a body-mind-approach to change. Professional counselor J. Kathryn Lanzerotte, MA, presents a program designed to help participants identify tools for letting go by focusing energy inward. The workshop is based on a theory of personal development that views change as a natural integrated process marked by turning points on the path of continuous growth. Collectively we will explore change envisioning it as a personal transformation. Joy will teach the EILID method of change envisioning it as a journey that steers you to getting what you want. Designed to instill safety and trust, the emphasis is on creating an environment, a setting for learning that builds a 'container' of increasing consciousness; freedom of judgment. The instruction addresses diverse adult learning styles, disabilities and cultures. The material presented (lecture, small group, world cafe) is designed to stretch each participant to view ideas and issues from different perspectives. By working in teams and experientially, a community for learning evolves, affording everyone an opportunity to continually grow and learn. A climate is created with a set of explicit/implicit norms that permits learners to question and reflect (dialogue) on information shared. I purport that the talent of each individual (energy) fuels the group (synergy).
